A Grab fee is not rent or a deposit. RentalHunter never holds rent or deposits.
What a Grab pays for
A Grab is a fee for an intro window on this site. The price is the published Grab fee, shown in INR at checkout and collected by Razorpay. It is not rent, a deposit, or key money.
Rent and the security deposit are paid to the landlord or the partner under their own agreement. RentalHunter does not take those amounts and cannot refund them.
Junk-lead credit
A partner may report a junk lead within 48 hours of the Grab. Reasons include unreachable, wrong number, duplicate, already found a home, not looking, and outside the stated budget.
If the report is approved, the fee returns as one Grab credit on the partner’s ledger. It is not automatically a card refund. Credits in a calendar month are capped at 20% of that partner’s Grabs in the same month. A report that would pass the cap waits for a person to review it.
A report after 48 hours is closed and is not credited.
How refunds return
Where a money refund applies, Razorpay sends it back to the same account or card you paid from, typically within 5-7 business days. Bank processing time varies.
A partner can stop buying Grabs at any time. A fee already charged for a Grab that was delivered is not cancelled, except through the junk-lead credit above or where Razorpay or the law requires the money back.
A seeker can delete a hunt at any time. An unpurchased lead expires after 7 days and is not billed. Deleting a hunt does not refund a Grab a partner already paid.
Failed or blocked payments
If your bank or UPI app shows a debit but the Grab was not confirmed, the amount was not captured. It reverses automatically to the source account. Allow up to 5 working days plus your bank’s processing time.
